Duncan & Sable: Stage 6 – We’re home

How am I feeling now that it’s all done? Relieved that everything worked out, mainly. But happy to be settled into my new place is a very close second. I honestly couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.

Looking back, I really can’t praise the experience enough. Maybe I got lucky being able to sell so quickly after buying, but it really put me at ease knowing everything was taken care of. As this wasn’t my first purchase, I already knew the ins and outs of the home buying process, but there’s always something new to learn. It was just great to know that I could call ING any time of the day and they were there to help – I could ask them a million questions and they always patiently answered.

While I was in WA, I got that call from the lovely home loan specialist, Martine, stating that my loan application was officially approved.

Being someone who has worked in retail for 19 years, I know (and appreciate) good customer service when I see it. The customer service and friendly attitude provided by each person I had the pleasure of dealing with at ING really did make a very stressful time that much easier. But probably, first and foremost, the people there were amiable, ‘normal’, friendly and most importantly, nice. You could literally hear their smile on the other end of the phone. For someone trying to juggle buying and selling property, both of which can have significant financial implications if it falls apart, this support was everything.

Thanks to ING, I can honestly say that I’m not only happy with the end result, but the home buying process as a whole. And that might just be a first!
